Talbot
c.1848 This wonderful 19th century design originates from a set of vestments designed by Augutus Pugin for his own church, St Augustine’s Abbey in Ramsgate. Colours shine through interlocking ogee as if they were medieval panes of stained glass. Fleur de lys and quatrefoil are woven in sunlit cream against berry purple and pale sage green silk.
