Printed in England
c.1885 redrawn by Bodley in 1885, the Pear is drawn from a flock wallpaper formerly hanging in the Queen's drawing room at Hampton Court. Originally made c.1735, it was removed when Verrio's paintings were rediscovered in 1899. The partners would have known the papers while they were still up. Large scale stylised floral design.
Flick to Pear Grande Linen for this design but produced on beautiful soft linen papers and a small scale Pear produced in vibrant fresh colourways.
