Bodley
Widely recognised as the first known wallpaper by Watts founder G.F Bodley, this bold design mixes a Pugin-esque geometry with a naturalism inspired by William Morris. Recently recreated as part of our 2022 collection 'The Bodley Papers', that marries history with modernity through confident fresh colourways and pattern rich styling.
Classic and modern colour ways can be produced digitally or hand blocked, including the fabulous Beaton Pink named after Cecil Beaton, who choose this wall covering for his bathroom after passing Watts while returning from the Festival of Britain accompanied by none other than Benjamin Britten!
