Quart
Printed in England
c.1740. A wonderfully elaborate eighteenth century French silk lampas design, this was added to the archive in 1998. Jewel colours transform and merge like refracted light on muted silk while intricate weaves chase the shape of each curve of the full grapes, foliage and flowers, forming one of Watts's most sophisticated designs. The trellis embedded in the gold ground structures this wild, silken garden.
Minimum order of ten metres.
