This silken lampas design is a regal rejuvenation of the 100% silk damask created by the textiles pioneer King Ferdinand of Naples and Sicily (1751-1825). Modernised and revitalised, Alice is woven in three evocative colours inspired by Lewis Carroll’s magical novel Alice in Wonderland. In Alice fervent blooms are formed of soft wool, embellished with milk-white pearls, and framed by undulating oak leaves on a lustrous bed of shimmering silk.
