Walpole
Printed in England
This archive cut velvet has comes straight off the walls in the Grand Salon at Wolterton Hall, one of Norfolk’s four great power houses, and the ancestral home of the Walpole family. Horatio Walpole, or “Old Horace”, as he was known, was the younger brother of Robert, England’s first prime minister. Wolterton Hall was bought from the Walpole family by award-winning interior designers Peter Sheppard and Keith Day in 2016, and is under meticulous restoration. As part of the restoration programme Watts were commissioned to recreate this large bold and decorative cut velvet.
