A Rekindled Love for Wall Covering

Interior design is witnessing a renewed fascination with ornaments and layered spaces, moving away from “millennial grey” and reintroducing patterns to the walls of our homes. This shift reflects a broader interest in integrating the past into contemporary interiors.

The discussion explores the renewed fascination with tapestry, both as a serious art form and as an increasingly influential element in contemporary interior design. Drawing on the perspectives of contemporary interior designers, wall-covering manufacturers, and art dealers, the conversation traces the legacy of tapestry and wall coverings–from its history and contemporary workshops to how these traditions continue to evolve today.
