Percival
c.1888. In the archives as a cut velvet, this gorgeous floral design was re-introduced as a jacquard weave silk in 1998. Enormous flowers woven in wool silk bud and unfold in copper gold whilst a bold geometric design embraces them in deepest black on a mulberry red. The Percival Campari Beech Black was used as walling to stunning effect in the stylistically renowned and "wildly opulent" Prestonfield Hotel in Edinburgh.
