c.1880. The original of this elegant design was discovered at the magnificent late-Victorian mansion Stokesay Court as a woolen drapery. A large-scale paisley, it has a complex design that cascades over the fabric like lace fountains. The design flourishes woven in wool and silk in gold, nutmeg brown and burnt umber.
