Magnus Carnaby
c.1850 Taken from the wallpaper in a master bedroom at Stokesay Court, (the magnificent late-Victorian mansion where Atonement was filmed), this Pugin-esque design is elegant and stately. Named Magnus after the family of Stokesay Court, this silk pocket weave is offset by strong, chenille figuring. Cherry red and brilliant turquoise modernize this 19th century vertical design of open flowers and stylized circling foliage.
