Hermitage Tambour
c.1877. Originally conceived as a hand blocked wallpaper by pioneering architect and Watts founder, G. F Bodley, this graceful design illustrates Bodley’s movement towards the elegant and refined style. Aspidistras, ferns and passiflora in delicate chenille unfurl over silk which is wonderful used for upholstery, drapery or as a wall covering.
