Striae cut silk velvet on textured golden woven silk gifts the bursting flowers an astounding effect. This sumptuous cut velvet shines silver in the light above a bed of rippling gold — it could be straight out of a painting by Bellini. The Perpignon, woven in the same velvet, makes a worthy companion.
