Parisian Celebrations

Paris Déco Off 2026

Each year in January, Paris Déco Off transforms the City of Light into a vibrant crossroads for the international design community. For four days, designers, decorators, architects and tastemakers move from showroom to showroom, discovering iconic collections and novelties, emerging talents and new creative perspectives. This year, Watts 1874 marked the occasion with a series of celebrations at Galerie La Forest Divonne, located on 12, rue des Beaux-Arts, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Reimagined as a pop-up showroom, the gallery offered guests an immersive journey into the world of Watts 1874. Layered with fabrics, wallpapers and archival references, the space reflected the house’s continuous dialogue between heritage and contemporary design. Over the course of four days, it became a meeting point for creative minds, friendships and refined discoveries.

The celebrations began with a luminous evening reception that brought together friends of the house, artists and international design figures. Among the guests were Swedish portraitist Fabian Edelstam, whose sensitivity to light and composition echoes Watts’ devotion to details, and American creative director Sean Leffers, known for his bold and visionary approach to handcrafted textiles.

Conversations flowed effortlessly around luxury expert Adam Hargis and interiors authority Tom Delavan, both from New York Style Magazine, who brought an international editorial perspective to the evening. Guests wandered through the space, discovering new collections alongside historical motifs, from the poetic Birds wallpapers to innovative materials such as Aristoloche Cordofolia printed on cork.

More than a presentation, the evening unfolded as a celebration of creative exchange, where conversations flowed between timeless elegance, design and tradition. From the Art of Making Champagne, explored in the presence of Guillaume Frerejean Taittinger, to the Art of Hand Block–Printed Wallpaper, a tribute to artisanal craftsmanship, the event echoed this year’s Paris Déco Off theme, “Behind the Scenes.” In the intimate atmosphere of the gallery, surrounded by works of art and richly textured walls, the spirit of Paris Déco Off revealed itself in its most authentic form, highlighting shared values of patience, precision and savoir-faire.

The following morning, the rhythm softened into something equally elegant. Watts1874 welcomed a select group of influencers, Parisian tastemakers and international guests for an intimate breakfast within the showroom. Tables were set with traditional English tea, delicate French pastries and seasonal delights. Between cups of Royal Blend and buttery croissants, guests explored new collections guided by the creative team. In the golden morning light, colours revealed subtle nuances, textures gained depth and decorative details invited closer attention.

Travelling from London for the occasion, Jean de Caraman Chimay and Marie-Séverine de Caraman Chimay welcomed guests throughout the week with warmth and vision. Through their eyes, the World of Watts 1874 unfolded as both a living heritage and a creative in-house studio.

From candlelit conversations to sunlit breakfasts, the Parisian gatherings embodied the house’s essence, cultured and convivial, with a discerning eye for refined, inspiring interiors. They unfolded over a week honouring craftsmanship and creativity, culminating in an unforgettable evening shaped by genuine connection and shared moments.
