c. 1882 The swirling ostrich feathers of John Dando Sedding?s original Arts and Crafts design (rediscovered at the house of the celebrated aesthete Fred Holland Day in Massachusetts) is an ode to the Aesthetic movement yet appears strikingly and graphically modern. With an air of decadence that is redolent of The Great Gatsby, the plush curling feathers are striking in elephant grey in this incredibly soft linen silk. 1) This fabric has been discontinued, however at present there is limited stock available.
