c.1888 In the archives as a cut velvet, this gorgeous floral design was re-introduced as a jacquard weave silk in 1998. Enormous flowers woven in pure silk bud and unfold in white and indigo blue whilst a bold geometric design embraces them in lemon yellow layered silk on liquid red. The Grosvenor Stripe and the Veronese make wonderful companion fabrics. The Percival Campari Beech Black was used as walling to stunning effect in the stylistically renowned and ‘wildly opulent’ Prestonfield Hotel in Edinburgh.
