c.1550 Originally a 16th century jacquard tapestry, this was adapted as a printed cloth by Watts in the 1970?s for ecclesiastical use in every season on the altar. Now in jewel-like colours laced with gold on a thickly woven natural linen ground, the beautifully painted birds cavort in translucent garnet reds and greens. It is also available in a luxurious weave as the Tisserin.
