Cymbeline

c.1750 Inspired by a mid 18th century Italianate brocade, this silk weave was reproduced recently using modern methods to give the fabric a craquelure effect. Natural silk is woven with nylon backing to cause it to pucker and puff with extraordinary effect: the floral heritage design effervesces in mossy gold from a silken blonde ground.
