Ussé Chinoiserie
Ussé Chinoiserie
Design Provenance: 18th Century, hand-painted Chinoiserie paper, private collection of the Château d’Ussé
Sourced directly from China in the late 18th Century, the Ussé Chinoiserie adorns the languid walls of Château d’Ussé, the French castle which inspired Sleeping Beauty. Zinging with oriental energy, this chinoiserie depicts an astonishing botanical array, and myriad leaf formations dance between elegant, patterned urns.
Rich colours dance across the non-woven paper’s smooth surface. Durable and easy to install, this substrate conveys the details and subtleties of the design. Fully compliant with fire regulation requirements, this substrate is a great choice for contract walling.
Please note: The Ussé Chinoiserie is a bespoke version of our standardized Ussé Fleur chinoiserie. It offers a larger repeat and fully customizable design.
