Comper Minster

c.1890 A Sir John Ninian Comper design, this opulent wool silk takes its inspiration from a Roger van der Weyden painting. Every section of the design is detailed in a different weave to magnificent effect. Gold is chequered, striped and dotted to create burgeoning leaves and flowers tumbling across the fabric. The trumpeting daffodils look wonderful on upholstery, as the floral stylized design enfolds the curves furniture. Woven in highest quality wool and silk, this design is regal in curling golds and lapis blue.
