c. 1860 This stylized floral woven in silk and flax has an elegant, all over floral design that is non-directional and fantastic for upholstery and drapery. Swirling leaves, flowers and berries dance in shining gunmetal blue silk and thickly woven natural beige flax; this gorgeous pattern is typical of the floral designs favoured by the mid-19th century bourgeoisie.
