New Barkbox Trimmings

For those of you who visited us at Decorex international – you will know that we are very pleased to have just released our first stock trimming collection titled ‘Barkbox’ to go with our very popular new Bargello flame-stitch fabric…

Thank you to those who visited us at Decorex 2015

Decorex is now done and dusted for yet another year and the tent will be coming down, and thank goodness the skies stayed clear for breakdown – tramping around in even more mud would not have been a great end to a glorious show.

Brilliant to meet so many of you, some old friends and many new: from England, Ireland, Ukraine or wherever you hail from you will now be added to the Watts listings and plagued with images and anecdotes as the calendar moves forward. For the immediate term it is that delightfully weighty pile of sample requests that we have to address, promptly and efficiently so that our envelope is amongst the first to plop through your letterbox.

Autumn 2015, for Watts is all about the Bargello -the stone washed chenille flame stitch, and the very beautiful silky Marinella Brocatello – are we over dosing on Italy? I think not, Watts and the nineteenth century was after all, greatly influenced by the Grand Tour.

The passementerie is glorious and ever more complicated, each piece a work of art, and the hand block printed papers quite simply the most authentic wallpaper to be found. Decorex this year perfectly illustrated that it is the mixing and matching of the different periods that is exciting. A blend of original styles and features, across all forms of decoration, and the arrival of that sweet piquant of colour that energizes the look and makes it vital and current and fresh for today.

We hope to meet many of you again, and please visit our showroom on the Third Floor Centre Dome, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, where we can continue to inspire you with the splendours and  secrets of Watts.

New Bargello Colour Ways

The Bevan Bargello is an old Watts favourite that has been revived and recoloured in all its glory. From the vibrant jolly ‘Watermelon’ colour way to the more subdued and subtle Bark Box, we have an array of colours that nestle in next to the Montepulciano so convincingly… A wonderful flame stitch waiting to be discovered.
